Pitlochry Festival Theatre are holding auditions for THE WIZARD OF OZ.
Ensemble Roles
“The Wizard of Oz,” based on the book by L. Frank Baum, with music and
lyrics by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, adapted by John Kane for the Royal
Shakespeare Company.
Submissions are now invited for several ensemble roles in PFT’s 2018 winter
musical: The Wizard of Oz
We are looking to create a diverse ensemble. We welcome submissions from
everyone, regardless of gender, race or disability.
Rehearses: w/c 22nd October 2018
Opens: Friday 23rd November 2018 (previews)
Closes: Sunday 23rd December 2018
All rehearsals and performances will take place in Pitlochry. Please note
that a Sunday matinée performance is included in the schedule for each of
the 5 performance weeks. A maximum of 8 performances per week have been
scheduled, apart from the final week, which contains 9 performances
(additional performance payment made as per UK Theatre / Equity Subsidised
Agreement).
Casting submissions for the following roles are now being accepted:
MALE ENSEMBLE 2
20 – 40
Crow / Beautician / Lollipop Gang / Ozian / Flying Monkey counterbalance
This line of parts will require strong dance and singing skills and
preferably some experience of harness / aerial work AS COUNTERWEIGHT HARNESS
WORK FOR THE FLYING MONKEYS WILL BE INVOLVED.
Puppetry skills are ideal but not essential.
