NEW SHOW, ‘DOGS DON’T DO BALLET’
We’re excited to announce our brand new flagship show especially for
children aged 3+. 2017 is going to be an amazing year for us, and we’d love
you to join the team! We’re looking for only the very best children’s
theatre performers to apply, who can sing beautifully, dance well and who
LOVE working with children.
MUST BE A DRIVER:
Please be aware that you MUST have a full, clean driving licence due to the
nature of this job and location of our company base. Sadly, we are unable to
consider non-drivers.
THE CONTRACT:
This is a great opportunity to join our brilliant team until the end of
2017. You’re also arriving at a very exciting time of growth for the
company, so there are lots of amazing opportunities in store for you.
Not only will we be playing in fantastic theatre venues and schools
throughout the UK, but during the summer, we will adapt the show into an
outdoor performance and tour to some stunning open air venues. As if that
isn’t exciting enough, in October we will be jetting off for an
international tour of Malaysia.
REHEARSAL & TOUR DATES:
Rehearsals: Mon 8th May – Fri 19th May 2017
Touring from: Sat 20th May – Sat 23rd December
There will also be scheduled staff holidays during this contract. You will
need a full passport for the international part of our tour.

First of all, we love working with children! We specialise in productions
for children and family audiences and we are one of the leading companies in
our field.
Our shows are beautiful and we are very proud of the productions we create,
offering our young audience the perfect introduction to live theatre. Our
style is physical, highly interactive, and incorporates beautiful puppetry,
original music, and magical scenery.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Well, if you LOVE working with children, you’re already well on the way!
If you’re fun to be around, you’re getting even closer still. We are looking
for very special ‘all-rounders’ to join our company.
You will need to have a good general level of fitness as our shows are very
physical, great comedy skills, sing beautifully, dance well and keep
smiling in the face of adversity! If you can play a portable musical
instrument, too, then you’re just perfect!
We are a touring company, so please remember that you need to be prepared
for the inevitable rigours of touring; being away from home, spending lots
of time with the same faces, early starts, get ins, get outs, lifting and
carrying.
We will be touring to school & theatre venues, and when we are in schools
(which will be around 50% of this tour) we also run follow-on drama
workshops for the children.
There are the inevitable admin jobs that need to be done on a daily and
weekly basis, so you will need to be organised, computer literate, and have
a good manner both in person and on the phone.
Finally, you must have a great deal of experience in working for children
(3 – 7 year olds), and hopefully, your CV will reflect this. If you do LOVE
working with children, show us!

SALARY:
You will be paid £400 per touring week, along with a fee for the rehearsal
weeks. We will also provide and pay for accommodation when required
throughout your contract.

What else can we say… You’re going to be a very busy soul. You will be
pretty much playing all of the secondary characters, all of whom are
exaggerated, comedic and highly memorable – some would say, scene stealers.
But, as with the other roles, you still need to have a fantastic singing
voice and good dance skills.
