Summary This is a great spot for a charity called Global Goal
The spot feels like it is a real trailer for a
movie such as The Hunger Games. This could be a sequel / spin off for Hunger
games, set a few years after the events of the first quadrilogy. With new
characters, but in the same world.
I WANT TO CAST A TRULY DISTINCT, RACIALLY DIVERSE AND CAPTIVATING GROUP OF
TEENAGERS, SOME ARE 12-16 YEARS OLD BUT MOST ARE 16 YEARS OR A LITTLE OLDER.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR UNUSUAL, CINEMATIC FACES. EACH ONE OF OUR CAST MEMBERS
SHOULD LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE A LIFE STORY WORTH TELLING. EVEN IN THEIR YOUNG
AGE I WANT TO FEEL A RICHNESS OF PATHOS, CHARACTER AND CONVICTION THAT
BELIES THEIR YOUTHFUL FACES.

KEMI EFFIONG (Female, playing age16) HAS DIALOGUE Our protagonist Kemi is
inspired by Jennifer Lawrence’s portrait of Katniss. We are NOT looking for
visual alikeness, but more importantly we need to find SOMEONE WITH AN
INTENSE EMOTIONALITY, STRENGTH IN HER EYES, AND A LIKEABLE SOFTNESS IN HER
SMILE. THE DIRECTOR WANTS TO SEE YOUNGSTERS WHO ARE A BIT EDGY AND
INDIVIDUAL – NOT your archetypal drama school Kemi’s parents (maybe one of
them was Katniss?) passed away in a Panem uprising 12 years ago. Kemi had to
look after her younger sister Paniz… and that meant that Kemi became a
grown up before she was ever allowed to be a teenager. Faced with a scarcity
of food, an unbelievable unjustice in wealth distribution, and overall
unfairness of life, she has carried a heavy cross all her life. Her mode of
survival is to put a brave face to anything life throws at her. She would
never show pain, fear or give up. And whatever tough hand she has been
dealt, she would always try to find a positive spin on it and try to protect
her sister Kemi from the worst of it. Fee : £180 BSF x 2 chaperone £90

PANIZ EFFIONG (M/F 12) HAS DIALOGUE Paniz is the 12 year old sister of Kemi.
Would be great to cast someone 16 years old who looks young. Paniz has
always been diminutive in stature, shy in demeanour, but quietly strong in
behaviour. This dignity will come out at the end of our film , when Paniz
transforms from a helpless victim to someone who has something that the cold
citizens of Panem don’t have: Real
human compassion. PANIZ COULD BE ASIAN, CAUCASIAN, MIXED RACE OR AFRICAN. I
DON’T THINK THEY NECESSARILY NEED TO COME FROM THE SAME RACIAL BACKDROP,
WITHER THEY COULD HAVE A DIFFERENT FATHER/MOTHER OR WE COULD ASSUME THAT
PANIZ IS A BABY THAT KEMI RESCUED AND ADOPTED. I FEEL THE EMOTION WE SEE
BOTH OF THEM FEEL FOR EACH OTHER WILL TELL THAT STORY. PANIZ COULD BE A BOY

PRESENTER (Male, playing age 30 – 55): HIS FACE HAS VERY DISTINCT FEATURES.
HIGH CHEEKS. DEFINED JAWBONE. A NOSE THAT ONE PLASTIC SURGERY AGO COULD HAVE
BEEN CALLED HAWKISH. His hair and makeup are as outrageous as anything in
the Hunger Games series. Our presenter has a shallowness that comes with
privilege, with never having to worry about any existential survival fears,
with growing up in the Capital, the vast, excessive outgrowth of a world
that lives in poverty. However maybe the presenter has some nagging humanity
deep down, a seed of doubt, well hidden and wrapped in layers of makeup,
veneer and false smiles. His performance is all smiles, excitement with the
polish of a TV presenter. The contrast between him and the children is
exaggerated by the difference between his happy, bubbly and superficial
demeanour and the desperation, and grown up resolution on the children’s

are from all over the world. Each one of them should have their own distinct
character and feel like s/he has a distinct backstory. THEIR EYES INTENSE
AND WITH AN UNUSUAL DEPTH, FAR BEYOND THEIR AGE. Archetypes to play with
could include but are not limited to: A snot nosed feral and dangerous
looking kid,a skinny and hungry looking kid with sad eyes,a clever kid with
glasses, a burly kid, a shy kid and a posh kid. We see and hear all
nationalities, including but not limited to Somalis, French, Bosnians,
Vietnamese, Urugayians, Syrians, British, Russians and Americans. PLEASE
REMEMBER WE ARE LOOKING OF EDGY INDIVIDUALS. KIDS WITH A SENSE OF
THEMSELVES – NOT ONE OF THE MASSES. Fee: £200 walk on rate as not featured

family will not be in focus – you dont see their faces Non descript living
room somewhere in the world. Think Ikea identy-kit furnishings, globally
accepted blandified art on the walls, some accessories that lend character
but not definition — for all we know this could literally be in Europe,
South America, China or Namibia. Here a family of three sits on their sofa
and
watches TV. We don’t want to see too much of them, they are in the shade,
out-of-focus, ambitious, exchangeable DONT NEED TO BE A REAL FAMILY – MAYBE
THE CHILD ABOUT 9 YEARS
